"We came to Podinspirational with nothing but a vague idea about interviewing local cheesemakers. Eight weeks later, we had a fully produced show with artwork, an intro score, and distribution on every major platform. The team understood our voice before we did."

— Fiona Delaney, host of Curd Culture

"After three failed attempts at launching solo, I needed someone who could diagnose what was going wrong. Their fit-check process alone saved me months of wasted effort."

— Rory Kavanagh, The Quiet Commute podcast

Find your ideal podcast format in 3 minutes

Not every podcast idea suits every format. Before investing time and money, take our interactive fit-check to discover whether your concept works best as a solo narrative, a conversational interview show, a panel roundtable, or a tightly scripted documentary series. Your answers shape a personalised recommendation — and if you want to move forward, we will know exactly where to start.

The podcast fit-check

Answer four quick questions. We will match you with a format and a suggested production pathway. No sign-up required — your result appears instantly below.

1. How comfortable are you speaking without a script?

2. Will you regularly have guests or co-hosts?

3. How much time can you dedicate per episode?

4. What is your primary goal for the podcast?

Professional podcast recording studio with warm lighting and microphones

Built for voices that matter

Every episode we produce is shaped around one belief: your listener's time is sacred. We treat podcast production the way a publisher treats a manuscript — with editorial rigour, sonic craft, and relentless attention to pacing. Whether you are recording from a converted spare room or our Dublin studio, the result sounds world-class.

Why format matters more than gear

Most first-time podcasters obsess over microphones and software. We have seen creators with €2,000 setups produce shows that nobody finishes, and hosts recording on a phone headset who build devoted audiences of thousands. The difference is almost always format fit. A conversational host forced into a scripted documentary format sounds stiff. A meticulous researcher trying to improvise sounds lost. Our fit-check exists because matching your natural strengths to the right structure is the single highest-leverage decision you will make before pressing record.

Once your format is locked, everything else — episode length, release cadence, guest strategy, monetisation model — cascades logically from that foundation. That is why we start every engagement with discovery, not equipment lists.

Your journey from idea to published show

1

Discovery call

A 30-minute conversation where we listen more than we talk. We want to understand your subject, your audience, and your constraints before suggesting anything.

2

Format and concept lock

Based on your fit-check results and our conversation, we draft a concept document: show name options, episode structure, tone guide, and a sample episode outline.

3

Pilot episode production

We produce one full episode together — recording, editing, music selection, and mix — so you can hear exactly what the finished product sounds like before committing to a series.

4

Brand and distribution build

Cover art, trailer, RSS feed, and platform submissions happen in parallel. By the time your pilot is approved, your show is ready to go live everywhere.

5

Launch and iterate

We coordinate your launch week, monitor early analytics, and debrief after the first three episodes to refine pacing, intros, and listener engagement tactics.

Numbers from real shows we have produced

Across 26 podcast launches since 2022, the average show we produce reaches its first 1,000 downloads within 45 days. Retention rates — the percentage of listeners who finish an episode — average 68%, well above the industry benchmark of roughly 50%. Six of our clients have secured paid sponsorships within their first season.

Studio capabilities and creative services

Narrative scripting

For documentary and storytelling formats, our editorial team writes or co-writes scripts that balance information density with emotional pacing. We handle research, fact-checking, and draft revisions.

"The scripts they wrote for season two were better than anything I could have produced alone." — Niamh Brennan, Under the Surface

Sound design and scoring

Original music beds, transition stings, ambient soundscapes, and foley. We compose or license every element so your show has a distinctive sonic identity — not stock music your listeners have heard elsewhere.

Remote recording direction

If you record from home or travel frequently, our engineer joins your session remotely to monitor levels, coach delivery, and flag issues in real time. We use double-ended recording to capture studio-quality audio regardless of your internet connection.

Audience growth consulting

Beyond production, we advise on cross-promotion swaps, newsletter integration, social clip strategy, and paid acquisition. Growth is not an afterthought — it is woven into every production decision from episode one.

One client grew from 200 to 4,800 monthly listeners in a single quarter using our clip-first distribution method.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own equipment to get started?

Not necessarily. For remote recording, we recommend a USB microphone in the €80–€150 range, but we can advise on the best option for your budget. If you prefer to record in person, our Dublin studio is fully equipped.

How much does a typical production engagement cost?

It depends on format complexity and episode frequency. A solo interview show with fortnightly episodes typically runs between €400 and €700 per month on a retainer. Narrative documentary productions cost more due to scripting and sound design. We provide a detailed quote after your discovery call.

Can you help with a podcast that already exists?

Absolutely. Many of our clients come to us after self-producing for a season or two. We audit your existing episodes, identify production and format improvements, and transition you onto a professional workflow without losing your established identity.

Who owns the final audio files?

You do. Every master file, mix, and asset we create belongs to you. We retain no exclusive rights to your content. If you ever decide to move production in-house or to another provider, we hand over everything cleanly.

What platforms will my podcast be available on?

We submit to Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Amazon Music, Pocket Casts, Overcast, Castbox, Stitcher, and several others — typically 14 platforms in total. We also set up your RSS feed so any new platform can pull your episodes automatically.
